Update #6 on Our Wall Entrance Project

 

We are excited to be moving forward again.  The designer from FastSigns returned to work at the end of April and recently sent us newly revised design samples.  They are close to what the committee has in mind but will need some tweaking.  The committee will be meeting to look at color choices for painting the monuments and Wilkinson wall as well as font choices for the signage and other details to bring us closer to final designs.  Don’t forget, you will be given a chance to vote for your choice once everything is finalized.  Make sure Caitlin has your email address if you wish to be included.  Her email is caitlin@pinnaclecam.com

 

In addition to designs, we’ve been working with Peter, the owner of FastSigns, who will be our project manager.  His general contractor has been out to examine our monuments and Wilkinson walls as there are many repairs to be made prior to painting.  Peter is working on an inclusive estimate of costs that should be ready by the end of this month.  He has been a joy to work with as he is professional, honest and responsive to our questions.  We feel our project is in great hands.

 

Prior to the start of any work on the monuments or wall, our landscape company will be doing some prep work.  You may have noticed their workers trimmed all our palm trees and removed the ones obstructing the monuments, diseased or dying at the Jade entrance, Jade island, deck area and Bliss entrance.  After the project is completed, a new palm will be planted at the west side monument so both sides of Jade will look the same. Vegetation growing onto the walls along Wilkinson will be removed and Loyalty Lawn will move the irrigation nozzles that are currently spraying onto the monuments and causing the rust-colored stains.

 

So, after a couple of months when things were stalled as we waited for responses from vendors, we are moving forward again.  If things continue along this positive track, we should have designs and colors for you to review and vote on sometime in June.  Fingers crossed!
