MEET OUR NEW COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION MANAGER

 

We are very excited to showcase our new Community Association Manager (CAM), Cheryl Adams, who joined our team August 1st.   She is taking Kevin's place following his resignation in July after loyally serving us for 11 years. Cheryl was brought to our attention by one of our long-time homeowners who is on the Board of his rental condo on Lido Beach where she serves as accountant and back-up CAM. Once we saw her impressive background and held a meet-and-greet, we knew we had the right person for the job.

 

Cheryl has over 25 years experience in accounting, office administration and management. Preparing financial reports is her passion so we know our funds are in good hands. We have already benefitted from Cheryl's accounting background by her recommendations to upgrade our banking relationships as well as to streamline our annual budget to be more understandable and easier for tracking funds. She has years of experience with tax preparation and is making sure all of our vendors have accurate tax information on file.

 

Since 2013, Cheryl has been in HOA (Homeowner Association) management in both Sarasota and Manatee counties. She is very professional in her management style and very knowledgeable about the Florida statutes which rule how HOAs function.   We have again benefitted from her experience as CAM by her recommendations of our new website designer as well as of reliable vendors with whom she has worked. And, if you have a question or concern, Cheryl is very responsive to inquiries.

 

On a personal note, Cheryl is originally from Swanzey, New Hampshire where she was the only girl in her large family. Since moving to Florida in 1982, she has traded in her snow mobile and snow shovel for beach blankets and sunscreen. Cheryl is a busy lady when she's not working her many CAM responsibilities. Her 2 grown daughters have given Cheryl 8 grandchildren, ranging in age from one month to 15 years. As a matter of fact, in September, she insisted on chairing her 2nd Board meeting with us while her Sarasota daughter was in labor with #8. Now, that's dedication! For relaxation, Cheryl enjoys reading, sewing and quilt-making. We're sure her family benefits from those off- duty activities as much as we are benefitting from her on-duty talents.
